SYNC 4 Navigation and Apps

SYNC 4 is Ford’s latest version of their infotainment platform with a new lineup of enhancements that make it more useful and user-friendly than ever. SYNC 4 offers twice the computing power of the previous generation, with cloud-based over-the-air update capability and touchscreen displays that stretch from a standard 8-inch to an available 12-inch to a huge 15.5-inch screen on the Mustang Mach-E.

Wireless Apple CarPlay^® and Android Auto^™ capability is standard on the SYNC 4 system so you can interact with your smartphone apps on your car’s infotainment display. There are also built-in apps including the crowd-sourced navigation app Waze.

Connected to What’s Important

Every new Ford vehicle comes with available FordPass Connect^™ with a 4G LTE Wi-Fi Hotspot so you’re connected to the cloud. This gives you optional navigation that’s fully in sync with the latest maps and data for the best routes and most up-to-date information.

Drivers can also access their vehicle’s digital owner’s manual through SYNC 4, and search it for a specific topic or stream how-to videos right on their car's infotainment screen. Easily access your navigation, apps, or owner’s manual with voice activation and conversational voice recognition.

Powering Up with Sync 4 Simplicity

Whether you’re driving one of Ford’s gas or all-electric vehicles, SYNC 4 makes powering up easier than ever. It can assist you in finding a gas station with the cheapest gas, or a charging station that’s right along your route. It can also keep track of your charging stats and gas mileage.

SYNC 4 is filled with multi-tasking tools that allow the driver and passengers to access the system in a variety of ways. The large 12-inch screen is capable of splitting into two windows—a larger and smaller one— to allow access to both navigation and audio.

Adaptive Dash Cards, available on the larger 15.5-inch screens, are designed to help you keep multiple tabs open at the same time so you can toggle back and forth from screen to screen without having to push too many buttons.
